Great question! I have always liked working with people but believe it or not; I didn’t start out looking at HR as an option. I was attending USF and pursuing a degree in Public Relations. Still people but in a much different way. I was exposed to the world of human resources and realized that I could still work with people and help them make a difference in their business, organization or even as individuals.

Ten years after I graduated from USF with my Bachelors, I started on my journey to my MBA and a Master in Human Resources. I have never looked back. Today, I am fortunate to have worked with a diverse group of people and organizations and I know I made the right decision to pivot to Human Resources.

AND today’s HR is so much more than payroll and employee policies and handbooks. Today’s HR is a C Level and gets to help shape and develop their businesses and individuals. I love it because I get to do that with different companies all over the United States and I get to help them grow and build their businesses!
